Mt Tyson Tidy Town plinth block supplied by J.H. Wagner & Sons.
Just a short drive from Toowoomba it can make for an enjoyable afternoon outing to visit Mt Tyson, awarded the recognition of being Australia's Tidy Town. The success of this prestigous award has been permanently displayed in the town park where a sandstone plinth block has been donated by the Janke family and supplied by J.H. Wagner & Sons. A bronze plaque adorns the top of the plinth and a Darwin Brown granite panel with gold incised text has been recessed into the front face of the tapered sandstone plinth.
