Mitchell War Memorial plinths manufactured and installed by J.H. Wagner & Sons.
In time for a dedication ceremony on Anzac day 2011, J.H. Wagner & Sons manufactured and installed two sandstone memorial plinths with dedication panels and honour rolls for World War 1, World War 2 and Vietnam War at the entrance to the Mitchell Memorial Pool as part of an upgrade by Maranoa Regional Council. The sandstone plinths have a honed (smooth) finish and splay cut top face with a total of five Black granite panels inserted into each stone. Lettering and images on the Black granite panels have been laser etched using J.H. Wagner & Sons' Generation Etch technology to achieve excellent detail for poppy images, portraits of local enlisted men, victory parade and service images. The laser etched images combine with wording of HONOUR, COURAGE, SACRIFICE and MATESHIP.
