A polished Yellow Granite block with pyramid top supplied by J.H. Wagner & Sons recalls the history of the Millmerran Shire Council. Millmerran was proclaimed a shire on 24th April 1913 and for 95 years the area prospered under local government administration. On the 14th of March 2008 the Shire Council was abolished by the Queensland State Government and the Millmerran area is now administered by the Toowoomba Regional Council.
