Western Suburbs War Memorial, Digger Statue supplied and installed by J.H. Wagner & Sons. 

The original Digger statue carved by F. Williams & Co had long been missing from the Western Suburbs War Memorial at Baines Park, Ipswich due to irrepairable damage from a traffic accident.  J.H. Wagner & Sons now owns the company of F. Williams & Co and it was therefore fitting that history would see our quote to manufacture and re-instate a Digger Statue to the memorial accepted by the Ipswich City Council.  The Sandstone Digger Statue is fully carved from one piece of Helidon Sandstone and the base stone is inscribed 'FOR KING & COUNTRY'.   View Australian Digger Statue for production photographs of our work on these important statues.
