Did you know?

During the late 1960's and early 1970's Vitrolite panels, a type of black glass were used extensively as an alternative to the more expensive marble panels.

Unfortunately, Vitrolite panels were not a long term success and any memorials still in place with a vitrolite panel should be checked regularly to make sure the grouting around the Vitroliite panel has not deteriorated.  If the grouting is missing the Vitrolite panel may be in danger of falling out and if this happens the panel may break.
